How to download a webcast player:
PC users

Adobe® Flash®:

Download the FlashAdobe® Flash® Player and follow the installation instructions.

Windows Media Player®:

Download the windowsWindows Media Player® and follow the installation instructions.

Download the realRealPlayer® and follow the installation instructions.

Apple users

Adobe® Flash®:

Download the FlashAdobe® Flash® Player and follow the installation instructions.

Windows Media Player®:

If you do not already have Window Media Player installed on your computer, click on the "Flip4Mac" button below. Flip4Mac® is a Windows Media component for QuickTime® by Microsoft.com. Follow on screen installation instructions for download and installation.   

Some versions of Safari® may also need a plug-in in order to view the Windows Media Player®. If, after downloading Flip4Mac® the Windows Media Player® still does not work, please download and install the Safari® plug-in for Windows Media.  

 Download the free Flip4Mac® Player or Windows Media Safari® plug-in**. Click on the following links and follow the download instructions .

Flash When I click the link to connect to the program, nothing happens or I have a black space where the video or video controls should appear. See more.

Flash When I click on the link the wrong video or program appears?See more.
  • This may occur if your system or proxy server has cached a previous link. This may be resolved in one of two ways:

    1. Refresh the page by hitting the F5 key while on the page or by holding down the 'Alt' 'Shift' and 'Ctrl' keys while simultaneously hitting the 'Refresh' button on the browser. You may need to do this several times.

    2. Clear your systems cache by:
      a. Run Internet Explorer
      b. Click on "Tools" on the menu at the top
      c. Click on "Internet Options"
      d. Under Browsing Options, Click on "Delete"
      e. Click on "Delete Temporary Internet Files"
      f. Click on "Close"
      g. Click on "OK"

FlashThe media player automatically stops or it continually stops and rebuffers See more.

Press the "Play" button on to restart the video stream. There are many variables that can affect streaming video over the internet.

Network congestion can occur at any time due to the following problems:
• You are using a modem to connect to the Internet.
• You are trying to access an event during peak Internet traffic hours.
• There is heavy traffic on your local computer network.
• If you are connecting to the Internet from outside Northern America.

Network congestion can be alleviated by:
• Upgrading to a faster connection.
• Minimizing the number of applications you are running during a webcast.
• Trying to accessing the webcast during an off-peak Internet traffic period.

Flash My computer crashes when I try to access the event See more.
  • Verify that your settings meet the minimum event requirements.
    • Try clearing your browser's cache and restart the event.

Flash The video becomes choppy or freezes up (connectivity & firewall issues). See more.

Flash I get a picture but no sound. See more.

Make sure that your computer speakers are connected, turned on, and that you have adjusted the volume on the speaker volume knob and on your computer's volume control setting. Also, make sure the computer's sound is not muted.

Your computer screen display settings may be causing the distortion. Webcasts are best viewed with a display setting of 1024x768 or higher.

Flash I am having trouble viewing the webcast using my Mozilla Firefox. See more.
    Windows Media® files may require changes to your system configuration. Click here to download and install the plug-in and follow all of the steps exactly. After doing so, you should be able to view the Windows Media files via Firefox. RealPlayer® and Adobe® Flash® files play automatically on the Firefox browser.

Flash The program is fine on the PC or laptop but the video won't stream through the projector (surrounding window and everything else is viewable). See more.

Quite often settings on the LCD projector itself need to be changed to view the streaming video. Each projector has its own settings. Try to test an actual video stream prior to the event.

Flash The text on the branded viewer window is missing, distorted, or incomplete.See more.

Using the toolbar while in Internet Explorer, click "View," "Menu," "Choose Text Size." Set it to the default "medium" or "smaller" rather than "large" or "largest."

Flash I am having trouble viewing the program using Windows Media Player See more.
  • If your player stops during the program, refresh / reload the Web page or press the start button on your player to initiate the webcast again.

  • If you are using the Firefox browser, you will need to download the free plug-in for Windows Media Player. Click here to download and install the plug-in.

  • If you are having difficulty with the audio or video stopping or experience excessive buffering / freezing, please try the following:

  • o Select Tools
    o Select Options
    o Select Performance
    o Click on the dot beside the word "buffer" and increase the time in the box from 5 seconds to 10 to 20 seconds.
    o Hit Okay
